New Features
One of the things I get asked the most when I am Live on TikTok is "How do I get started?" And honestly, that's a tough question to answer as it is going to vary from area to area.
Some towns are going to have community ceramic centers, or clay guilds, or community colleges. A select lucky are going to have full-grown artist residency programs, never mind supply stores.
So I pondered for a while, as I do, and eventually I decided to build a little pdf to give away to folks who sign up for my newsletter that would at least allow for folks to get a sense of what resources are out there for them. My newsletter sign-up form is on the Home page of this website.
And then I decided to build a digitally available clay class. And that has been a bit of an undertaking, I'm not going to lie. Figuring out how to record, capture sound, edit and put together was a fun but challenging adventure. And then trying to figure out how to get it out there, where to host it, how to get people access to it, and more. Online learning environments can be really complicated! (not to mention expensive!!)
But as of this moment I can say that I have successfully been able to get all of my content, both digital and physical, onto this one website, which is mine and I don't have to worry about unexpected changes or deletion.
Now announcing! Clay Classes Online!!
All of my digital courses will be posted here as they come available. The first three are up.
Each class is stand alone, and as I build this out you will start to see these fill up, with the main categories across the top tabs, based on experience levels. Each class will give you access to them for 90 days.
I have a full curriculum built out, and I am very excited to be able to help people have an opportunity to learn more about the incredible medium of ceramics.
