These ceramic flower bricks are built from slabs as well as thrown forms. With feet and flower stem supports, they look a little like they are dancing with a slight twirl from a skirt. The decoration is created from a red iron oxide wash, underglaze transfers, stencils, porcelain slip and underglaze wash.
This brick has an underglaze transfer that reminds me of Victorian era wallpaper.
